Diema 0-6-0 Diesel-mechanical Loco #186 shunts at
Shan-hua sugar works on 02 March 2005.
This is the first of a sequence of 4 illustrating a typical shunting
activity in the works complex (52 sec)

Continuing from above, #186 collects some
empty wagons (and the shunter just about retains his fingers!!!!)..... (39 sec)

....and propels the lengthened
train back into the works. Note the dual gauge tracks from when (long ago)
the TSC locos worked
3'-6" gauge TRA wagons along the dual gauge
connections to and from the main line (36 sec)

Later #186 moves its train away from the sidings to another part of the
complex. With the demise of the field networks, these minor tasks of
shunting around the factories are really the only work left for these
attractive little engines. (27 sec)
